Howzzat Cricket Lovers!
The round 8 of Cricket Pool (Jan 25) has just finished and it's time we have a look at the results of matches/pool questions and pool standings.
(This post is published after every round of the pool to give you all a clear idea where you stand in the pool and form your strategy for the next rounds.)

The Results (Round 8, January)

Q.2. How many runs will India score against England? (+ - 30 runs will be considered correct)
  • 166 (136-196 is correct)

Pool Standings (Round 7, Jan 2025)

Pool Standings (Total Score - Jan 2025)

Want to say nothing except I don't like these low scoring rounds but what can we do if Pakistan loses in their own backyard against a a modest team like West Indies. It's not that they lost but the manner in which WI dominated them. The next month Pakistan will be hosting Champion's Trophy and I don't think they will be in any sort of confidence winning it after such a disastrous performance. Anyways, I'm still leading here, I'm jubilant but I want you guys "Catch me if you can?"

Pool Prize (Breakdown)

  • For December: 12500 Sats
  • For 2024-2025 Session (Annual Rewards: Distributed on Halloween 2025): 115000 Sats
I'm rounding off the figures for rewards from now on to the closest number in tens.
Thanks for playing.
Another solid round. The little one is keeping up with the leaders.

Yupp. Congrats. @Undisciplined has recently adopted to this strategy, we'll see in the next round if he manages something better. Right now his stars are looking bleak for this month.
reply
Yes, I saw he tagged in his daughter.
reply
That's a fairly representative depiction of our homelife.
reply
She can't do worse than last.
reply
Yeah, I'm pretty sure after the results @grayruby has got. I'll also align to the same strategy once my daughter will start pointing to things, somewhere around July/August. She's started watching Cricket fyi.
reply
That's great! I used to watch basketball with my daughter when she was a baby.
reply
My daughter used to like to bounce in her jumper when I watched sports and she would get all excited if I cheered.
reply
My daughter's attention span is about one play/possession. She'll get really into and shout or cheer, but she thinks the game is over after each shot.
reply
Well each possession is almost a game within a broader game.
What did you think of the mighty Rockets taking down the champs in Boston last night? Big comeback win.
I am saving the Rockets for after they make a big trade at the deadline and then I will lock them in as champs in the prediction contest.
Great! Does she still watch? I was surprised to see my daughter's so much liking for Cricket. If I changed the channel, she'd cry.
reply
Sometimes, but not as much as when she couldn't move.
reply
Everyone in my family is like "Turn on some Cricket" whenever she cries a bit. She really enjoys watching it so much. She watched the whole final of BBL beside me.
Let’s go cricket guys aye
