How to log into SN with email when using the PWA?

When using the pwa I can't login with email. Here are the steps I have followed:

  1. Log in with email
  2. Click on the link "login" in the email I received
  3. The link opens the browser and not the PWA.

Anyone has suggestions as how to fix this?

Login once in the browser and you will be automatically saved in your PWA.
But the email login should be use ONLY as a backup method.
You better use nostr as main login (with a dedicated key), with LN auth (also with a dedicated key) as backup and email as 2nd backup.

How do you use nostr as the main login? With dedicated key you mean the nsec? When logging in with LN auth, how to do this with a dedicated key? E.g. I want to use Coinos to login with Lightning.

  • go to any nostr client or whatever way to generate a nsec.
  • do not use your regular nostr posting key, just generate a dedicated one for logins. Is better to keep them as separate keys.
  • you can use that nsec into Alby extension (import it) or just use alby extension with whatever new nsec random generated. In Alby also you can have multiple accounts with multiple nostr keys
  • you can use that nsec into no2x extension or any other nostr signer you like. On nos2x firefox extension you can use also multiple nostr keys/identities.

Yes you can use coinos to login with LN, but I would use it as backup for nostr login.
Always have a backup login.

Thank you for the detailed explanation. I'm going to follow the steps you mentioned.

I lost a previous early stacker news account unfortunately for which I logged in with Lightning only. So this time I'm going to do it with a backup.
