There are people who argue that BTCers should have some gold for certain scenarios, for example a near term major societal collapse. (I'm not here to debate about that.)
What are other candidate goods that can serve this role? It's not about stuff that would only become valuable in a collapse, but rather stuff that is already valuable now.
Some initial ideas: -Laundry detergent -Artworks? Does taste vary too widely? -Some canned goods are pretty expensive per ounce and pretty broadly desirable -Some foods like coffee, tea, or flour might work but you'd have to address possible spoilage? -Bicycle electric assist units?
Food, water, and shelter. Anything related to these things. Pots for cooking, pumps/hoses for water, lumber... etc. Anything revolving around basic human necessities. Everything else comes after. I honestly don't see a scenario other then societal collapse that would get us to there though.

I had a shitcoiner try to convince me we would eventually trade water like a stock...I told him no way bruh too much of it on the world look at the ocean he then pivoted to ice...told him I can literally get water from my faucet freeze it now I have both...the saying goes if your the smartest person In the room you should leave...all speculation I'm talking real world use buddy
