In college days, the social crowd seemed to break into the stoners vs the drinkers. I tended to side with the drinkers because I liked going out and meeting girls, etc.
The stoners, seemed to always gravitate to staying inside someones dorm room, playing nintendo and arguing about who's turn it was to go get the next pizza.
While fun in small doses, I much preferred the antics the drinkers got up to....
However, being completely fair, its probably true that cannabis is a much safer drug overall
I sorta feel "introspective enough" and thats ultimately why I stopped cannabis use in college, I didn't need/like the feeling of being hyperaware of every single thing someone said, and trying to parse the exact meaning of each stressed syllable.
A friend of mine recently mentioned he is using some type of CDB oil gummy that helps him sleep....says he feels no real psychoactive effects other than a vague relaxation / drowsiness feeling.
Any experience with that?
I would probably occasionally something like that for sleeping, but not really interested in "feeling high".
Heavy cannabis use as well as recent cannabis use was associated with lower levels of brain activation during a commonly used working memory task. During the other tests, covering reward mechanisms, emotions, language skills, and motor skills, there was no substantial difference.
Really interesting how specific these results are. As a former cannabis user, it would seriously impair my programming abilities, which demands an abnormal amount of working memory. I've held a hypothesis for some time that one's effectiveness as a programmer is probably directly proportional to working memory capacity/performance, so this is sad to see from that perspective.
Excellent post, friend @Akg10s3. From what little I know, cannabis has been used in different fields, especially in medicine. It is very curious how cannabis affects each individual in a different way.
