I did not expect so much fallout from the USAID investigations. The establishment really was not prepared for any scrutiny, were they?

Its pretty beautiful to watch and makes it so simple to push good conversations about the morality of the political allocation of resources. We need to rip the veil off the state and its manipulation of everything around us.
Turn the "destroying our democracy" on its head. So this is what you call democracy? Really? How many people knew their stolen money was being spent this way? And why can't these orgs just ask for money from the people directly? What is wrong with that? Or is it that the corrupt system creates these things and without this theft of our life force these things cannot sustain themselves. If they are forced to show their value to the people they just can't do it.
Or put another way, on a level playing field why do these orgs fail? Do we really want every NGO in debt to the state. To whatever regime is in power. Would it not be better to have orgs that are not connected to the government. After all, hitler just took over... I mean if he was really smart he'd just make them do his bidding instead of freeing them from the bonds of government funding.
When a corporation funds some non-profit we tend to hear that as a negative. They are manipulating it! But the government is not guilty of the same thing? What I like most about 2025 is the shake up. We need it. I hope people capitalize on it in their own circles. This is the time to open minds. While people's minds are being blown!

It's only been two weeks and we're already getting revelations that are changing public perception. I have no idea where we might be after four years of this.

Was just getting ready to write that. SN needs to be more like IM lol. Or maybe this is just how I've been programmed by com tools.

Its SO low IQ IMO to not see the opportunity Trump is creating and only focus on how he's a politician and not doing what we want... yeah for sure. He's no hero but man the chaos he's creating... by doing really not extreme things. I mean, some of us were we in his position would be going much harder and faster but I'm kinda surprised by what he's doing. I have no faith in him as a man or any politician but there's a huge opportunity here to reset a lot of damage to the human minds around us.
I also wonder how many elites are talking privately about how to kill him now... good lord that has to be happening. I don't know who said it but I suspect he made a deal with the MIC to make them lots of money so they would not kill him. I have zero evidence besides common sense.
I know so many people that have thought he'd be killed multiple times before the attempts were made. It still kinda blows my mind that its not a bigger deal that those attempts happened and that we all lived through it. Gonna be a wild 4 years and I'm loving it.

I've definitely wondered about this, too. It messes with my understanding of how things work, unless they've signed off on it. I could imagine that being the case if they saw an end coming to the course we were on.

Maybe we will reach the singularity

The singularity is basically just a point beyond which the rules are so different you can't make any useful predictions, so that could be in the cards.

As much as I can't stand the crypto grifting and this idea of removing people from Gaza is
completely insane, I am pretty impressed with the doge stuff so far.

Holy shit! DOGE was supposed to be a meme right? I can't believe were only a few weeks into this administration, it's been full steam ahead. Every day I wonder if it's going to be something new that I hate, or something new that I love. Either way, it will be something new.

I still doubt they'll manage to cut a trillion dollars, but this might be more valuable.

I'm with you on the trillion, I'll also take the under. Even so, I expected almost nothing to happen at all. Im actually excited to see what actually gets cut.

I know I've said Trump is a bull in a china shop and that's true but its also a classic business man move to just start cutting shit out when they come into a mess of a company. Then see what happens. When you just ask questions people lie out of self interest. Trump is really just behaving like we should expect an amoral self important business man to behave. All the good and bad.

People like to cry about separation of church and state. I mean I think the state should be destroyed and for sure separate from the church but why does every other thing need to be connected with the state if it is so bad for religious orgs to be connected to the state?
Questions I never hear asked.
reply

That's because the conventional understanding is that it was bad to have religion exert any pressure on the state, not the reverse.
