I watch a guy named Retromation who plays small indie games. He has a ton of different series, and he's almost always trying something I've never even heard of.
It's been a fantastic way to find new games to play, or just watch something I've never seen before.
I now don't watch YouTube for entertainment. I only watch it for some learning that too putting the link here on SN. I hate they've become AdTube now.

I pay for premium because it's cheaper than Spotify, and i get no ads.
reply
Yes, it's cheaper here as well but I can't come in terms with their Algo. I've even seen them show ads or videos for what I've had a conversation physically.
reply
Yea, I don't love it, but eith as much time as I spend driving, it's good to have premium music.
reply
If you're premium doesn't change the fact that they are tracing "you" all the time.

I honestly derive too much pleasure listening to youtubers dunk on woke games.
Most of the time, they're just milking me for views, and the games they dunk on aren't even that bad, or that woke... but for some reason I get mindless entertainment listening to it...
reply
I think making things woke is just good advertising these days. Rage clicks are real.
reply
That being said, I do think games are getting more woke while simultaneously getting suckier. I don't really think the two are directly related though. IMO it's a third factor driving both: AAA game development is becoming more corporate (and a general trend towards toxic positivity in the corporate sector)
reply
That and butt fucking your customers with micropayments. I don't play a lot of AAA anymore. The golden age of gaming is over for sure.
reply
Golden age of big game companies is over, but the indie scene is rocking.
reply
Yup, that's part of the reason I watch that YouTube channel. Indie games are amazing.
I like Caravan of Garbage. It's just a couple of very charismatic Aussies talking about movies and tv shows.
reply
That's a great name for a channel lol.

I love checking in on SUAT, the mobile DJ that goes around the world dropping sick beats.
Lately he visits cities but some of his older stuff was just him and his custom DJ set up he built, running around out in the woods by himself, sometimes in the RAIN.
The most popular ones are him getting chased by security guards and outrunning them. 😂
reply
I watched his "outsmarting the police" video real quick. HILARIOUS!
reply
He seems like a fun dude lol

I know!

I usually watch John Oliver’s Last Week Tonight there (and death metal compilations 🤘).
reply
Have you watched John talking about BTC?
He has no clue about Bitcoin.
reply
I did, I know. He doesn’t get it, his bad 🤣. Nevertheless, I still like his sense of humor and personality.

I watch Pokerick play League of Legends. It's a terrible game, but his philosophical discussions, accompanied by equally terrible elevator music, make for a strange relaxing experience. There is a bit of a cult following around him—basically, no one cares about the game, and it's just chill discussions in the chat.
