New York legend. I saw many of his shows under both personas, but I think I liked him as himself best. New York Dolls was groundbreaking.

I never got to see the NYD live, but did catch Buster. But yeah, an amazing performer.

I never saw them either. I did see 1980s version David Johansen a few times, though.
