A few weeks ago, I entered the world of Bitcoin. I started with the simplest and fastest method available for a beginner like me—buying some satoshis through an exchange. I still plan to convert part of my monthly income into BTC, as I mentioned here: #881630.
While searching for more information about BTC, I came across ways to earn extra sats—playing games, answering surveys, and watching videos in exchange for extremely low rewards. There are some Discord servers where people share methods to earn small amounts like this. For a beginner, these are simple and accessible ways to get a few extra sats, even though the reward is minimal for the time spent doing useless tasks just to watch ads.
I laughed when one of the members called us “Virtual Can Collectors” because we spend our time on unfulfilling activities to earn just a few cents worth of BTC. My goal is to move away from these methods as I find better and more rewarding ways to earn sats. For now, I’m following some guides shared here and adapting them to my reality. Over time, I’ll refine my approach to acquiring sats, as I mentioned in that article.
And what about you? When did you start with Bitcoin? What were your initial acquisition methods, and how did you improve them over time?

I started about 7 months ago, my first purchase was on cash app for a ridiculous spread. Then my second on on coinbase, for a massive fee. After that I moved to coinbase advanced for a much better fee. Followed by kraken pro for an even better fee.
Now I use robosats because it's Non KYC.
