Not sure if this is what you have in mind with this "affiliate" program, but I would like to see more wallet apps adding tools to find near by merchants accepting bitcoin. It's a win-win for all participants.

Example:

  • bitcoin user is travelling to a new place, country, and doesn't know any merchant accepting BTC.
  • open a bitcoin (LN) wallet app and click on button: "show me near by (btc) merchants"
  • app will display in different colors, those that are linked to the wallet app, with a discount offered, special offer or simply are affiliate.
  • user can consult the discounts offered paying through that wallet app or without.
  • merchants, by linking their business into an app, is a direct promotion ad for their business, so they are willing to pay for that. How? Directly to the wallet app developer a % and another % goes to the... customer (wallet app user) through a discount when is paid with that app.

In this way all 3 participants can win:

  • developer have an incentive directly from his app use
  • merchant have a direct promo to the consumer
  • consumer have a direct discount

Thank you for the great suggestions, The idea of a map could work on our marketplace, I'll definitely keep it in mind even if I think BTCmaps is already doing a great job. No need to reinvent the wheel.

However, BitFlio is not a tool for end users, and isn't a wallet. We plan for both parties to plug existing wallets and nodes so A[1] can pay B[2] through the powers of Lightning, Cashu and Nostr.

Hopefully we will be able to open up the beta really soon!

  1. Bitcoin: Vendors, Businesses, Bitcoiners, Corporate, Companies, Merchants, Sellers, SaaS, Software-as-a-Service, Builders, Producers, Brands, Solopreneurs, etc.

  2. Nostr: Publishers, Affiliates, Referees, Nostriches, Content Creators, Influencers, Partners, Bloggers, Vloggers, Marketers, etc.
