A race created by human hands. There will be a lot of health problems, no doubt. I think the fact that the article says 9-15 years for life expectancy is an indication of this. Where I live in Anatolia (known as the homeland of cats), cats on the street live longer than that.
I like races without human intervention.
But the Devon Rex is still very beautiful and have an innocent look face.

Yes, dog and cat breeds are all human engineered. Some involve more intervention than others, but none let nature take its course.

Although there are not many curious people about the cat breeds here, Angora and Van cats have survived centuries without human intervention. I think these breeds are completely natural. What do you think?

Wow. I don't know. It's possible I guess. I know more about dogs than cats, but I'm not an expert re genetics of either. I'm going to check out the history of those breeds.
