A little background, I run a MyNode and cold store my bitcoin.
I started using lightning a bit (Wallet of Satoshi) for zaps and stacker news and VPN subscription, but WoS doesn't support the US anymore (well, without a VPN). I probably don't even spend $25/month using lightning.
I'd also like to potentially work on using lightning as a way to break the onchain history of some of the sats I acquired KYC before I learned about non-KYC bitcoin.
I figured I should start learning about lightning and using it in a self custodial manner but my eyes usually gloss over when I start hearing about channel management and liquidity and partners, etc...
Is there an "easy mode" lightning provider/guide I can use that doesn't require much management on my side?

Thanks for sharing those guides!
Question for you, what do you think about ecash? Particularly for 'cleansing' coin history?
It seems to me the tradeoff is that you lose custody but it has great privacy. So would it be wise to, for example, send 100k sats to an ecash mint and then over lets say 1 day or so withdraw the 100k sats in chunks back to my self custody?

ecash is not for "cleansing". Is more for poor noobs that can't afford a decent UTXO to open a channel. As i explained in this guide https://darth-coin.github.io/wallets/bitcoin-adoption-using-ecash-en.html
Read that guide I just posted about noobs journey and you will find out how to do it.

yeah but doesn't support TapAss with Tether, that's why people don't use it. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚
Alby Hub is perhaps the easiest and most comprehensive node app out there, there is channel management of course, but to the minimum. Unfortunately it's not on mynode

Use Valet ā™¦ļø on FDroid.
