Townshend reportedly wrote the song on a train and is said to have been inspired by the Queen Mother, who is alleged to have had Townshend's 1935 Packard hearse towed off a street in Belgravia because she was offended by the sight of it during her daily drive through the neighbourhood.[8] Townshend has also credited Mose Allison's "Young Man Blues" as the inspiration for the song, saying "Without Mose I wouldn't have written 'My Generation'."[9] Townshend told Rolling Stone in 1985 that "'My Generation' was very much about trying to find a place in society."

This is an Israeli band from the 70s that was not part of the mainstream scene, unfortunately
reply
So many bands go under the radar, I'm glad we can give them some level of space here.

This week I already reserved some to share here 👍

Wicked, I look forward to hearing them.

I love this band. Sharon's vocals are so good.
reply
They are very good! I really enjoy bands that use a heavier sound with primarily clean vocals, and the orchestra elements are an added bonus too!

I'm assuming you're familiar with Nightwish then and Epica, and Delain, and Eluveite? Ad Infinitum?
reply
I've definitely listened to music from all of them! I think Ad Infinitum and Eluveite are probably my favorites in that list. Finding the Napalm Records channel on YouTube was great for my music listening.
reply
Napalm records YouTube is one of my daily go tos. They just bring great stuff.

7 years ago today I released the track "100%" (Estonian hip hop) It talks about crossing the fine line between a healthy, easy-going "not giving a fuck" attitude and deep, dark nihilism as the verse starts out with the lines: "Nihlistic fantasy, 100% apathy"
Also available on Wavlake, Spotify and other major streaming platforms.
The instrumental is featured on my instrumental hip hop album "Rest In Beats John Dope"

These guys really came out of nowhere in the early 2000s and just launched into the atmosphere. Great band.
