Astronomers for the first time observed an exoplanet's atmosphere some 900 light-years away in the constellation Puppis, WASP-121b (Tylos)✨, by mapping its structure in 3D using the ESPRESSO instrument, by combining all four telescopes (ESO’s 𝙑𝙇𝙏) lights to create a single signal. 📡 This cutting-edge technology helped reveal Tylos's three atmospheric layers: 𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻, 𝗦𝗼𝗱𝗶𝘂𝗺, and 𝗜𝗿𝗼𝗻 with powerful jet streams carrying 𝗧𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘂𝗺.
