Bitcoin will be used by all sorts of people if it becomes the world's money. Most will have no clue what it is or how it works. To them it will be money. I have always believed that the idea that everyone that uses bitcoin becoming a crypto-anarchist is just foolish and naive. If your thesis requires that.. you should just sell all your bitcoin to me because there's zero chance that happens.
You may not understand that if the current momentum behind the 'Bitcoin is a speculative commodity' continues the true value of Bitcoin as a censorship resistant P2P payments protocol will never be realised.
Bitcoin will become a captured asset class custodied and controlled by corporate bankers and selfish greedy amoral rentseeking speculators (Saylor) and their clingons.

Distributed p2p payment networks that enable bitcoin circular economies (i.e. the lightning network) seems to be the only viable path to this, and so running nodes needs to continue to be a viable option for everyday people.
Also 'spending' by using tradfi payment networks like fold credit/debit cards doesn't seem to bring us closer to this goal, especially if the likes of these companies 'never sell.' You'll just be forfeiting your hard-earned sats into a corporate black hole.
