So i noticed this the other day when looking at currency options XAU is there.

not that this is something that would be of any use to me, but I was curious how this works exactly?

is this just a pricing in gold for anyone curious, if so, is there a point since there are no offers for it and, as far as i know, you wouldn't be able to do any kind of commodity transfer?

How? Simple.

  • take a tungsten or lead bar
  • cover it in a thin level of gold
  • send it in a nice package and with a fake certificate.

I think you can input all kinds of currencies, but there's very few that actually have offers (USD, EUR, Brazilian Real, and a few others).

Maybe post a question on the telegram channel, or the Simplex chat channel, see what people have to say...

yeah, I see most liquidity in the usual suspects; it's just a surprise to see xau in there. ill have a look on simplex too
