For me, it's YouTube premium. I listen to a lot of music and podcasts while I drive, and when I'm home, it's usually my goto media that I watch.
Close second place is audible.

Yo. Thanks for sharing. I just gave it a shot and I have been looking for a search engine that lets me "upvote" and "downvote" and even block certain news sources.
I can FINALLY curate my own search results.
Thank you so much for this. Very exciting stuff.

Youtube premium is an amazing deal, people don't realize it also comes with music (although interface is not great). I find myself using it more than any other streaming service. I don't understand how people use YT with commercials..
Plus Family plan gets you 6 accounts!!

Absolutely! I was getting sick of seeing ads every time I watched a video, so I decided to upgrade to premium. And I got another music app! The playlist section seems to be better than on other platforms for me.

Yuka deciphers product labels and analyzes the health impact of food products and cosmetics.
I love it. Very good to find out about the toxic garbage in food and cosmetics and avoid it.
Also:
  • Proton suite
  • Hosted Alby Hub
  • Primal Premium and a few paid Nostr relays.
  • Mullvad and IVPN.

I've tried it a year or two ago, sadly many of the items ve tried weren't sorted in their database, but the things that were available were cool.

True. It has improved quite a bit during this time. In Europe they have almost everything in the database. Outside Europe, yes, there are still missing products.

Idk if Amazon Prime is worth every Sat but cmon who isn’t paying for a prime subscription?! Or a Costco membership?!
My ring security camera subscription just feels like it should be free but so it goes

Focus Mate. It's a service that pairs you with a "co-worker". You're both working on (your own) project, but you check in at the beginning of the hour-long session, and both of you say what you're planning on doing that session.
Then at the end of the session, you and your partner check in again, to tell how you did.
It's really useful, it gives some accountability to get going on projects, and get you unstuck. Also when I set up a session for 6.30 in the morning, I'll actually start work at 6.30 in the morning, and I sometimes need a nudge like that.
PPQ.AI It's not exactly subscription, but I use http://ppq.ai instead of ChatGPT. I'm happy with it. Anonymous, pay per query, just like it says, and also you pay with lightning. Lots of different models to choose from.

I did pay for @Workit_LN premium as I see value in the challenges and the sats you can win! Look forward to them bringing new challenges in March! Other then that I subscribe to checking SN too many times a day and that’s it

ChatGPT plus has been pretty valuable for me. $20/month- was an indispensable tour guide in Japan. Advanced voice mode I've used quite frequently for translating between multiple languages at work. Now playing with deep research. Probably use daily at work to help jog my memory.
Plus I signed up for US Bank triple cash business card that gives me $100 off software subscriptions (churning the $750 signup bonus and 1yr 0% APR) and I can write the subscription off of my taxes.
Although I haven't used the free version in a while so hard for me to speculate on the value vs free plan... grok notably seems to be able to do almost as good and comes with a twitter blue badge lol.

It just works. No ads. Easy.
I know there’s other ways to do music but only $16.99 for a family plan, so convenient, and I get 6% cash back on my Amex

  • Tidal music
  • Obscura/Mullvad
  • Proton/Tutanota mail

Every service should be free from subscription. I'll like them all. Haha.
