Deebo gets his wish and gets moved to a new team. Kyle gets his wish and now has an excuse to pick a WR in the first round. Win win.

Deebo took a lot of handoffs, so Kyle might want another RB to fill the void.

reply

Yea he’s called a WR but he gets a lot of carries

reply

Sports fact: Craig Jones knocked Deebo the fuck out.

reply

You mean the BJJ guy?

Ice Cube from Friday.

reply

Hahaha

reply

Wow a 5th??!!

reply

He was getting cut either way so a 5th isn't too bad I guess. Maybe they can package that pick with another one and trade up in the 2nd or 3rd.

reply

You think they are looking to reduce salary cap? Since they are trading only for a 5th round

reply

Yes, they want to get Deebo's contract off the books. He has underperformed the past couple years. He would have been cut if not traded. I expect they will bring in a veteran WR and draft another young WR.

reply

So we agree on this. Deebo have a nice trip. Laters

reply

Yes probably time to move on but I wouldn't have minded if they kept him.

reply

Eating a ton of dead cap

reply

Yes. They will likely restructure Kittle and Warner this offseason to free up more cap space. They already have around 50M. I am sure they can free up 20M more or so. Even if they extend Purdy this offseason, his cap hit next year will be low.

Only for his athleticism, but you need determined players if you want to win Conferences or Superbowls. Need guys with grit. Them college players come with that, at least in the beginning

reply

Came here for this post once I heard the news. You a fan of the deal GR?

reply

I don't like the dead cap hit but they are saving 32M in salary and roster bonus. He was likely going to get cut anyways. I would have liked to see them keep him for one more year but he wasn't very good last year and had his worst game of his career in the Super Bowl the year before. Time to move on.

Can you guys imagine if they do like a 10 year span in the NFL with no salary cap. Might have very very bad teams across the league but dayum imagine them super teams.

reply

That would be fun.

reply

Deebo definitely lost his shine this season

reply

Started in the Super Bowl and carried over. The Super Bowl was probably the worst game of his career.

reply

While deebos play has declined recently he’s always seemed to be the offensive leader that set the tone for the team. Might miss his intangible contributions

reply

Agree. He was a captain and well respected in the locker room but they have enough veteran guys that it shouldn't be a big issue.

reply

A 5th seems like low risk for Was

reply

Deebo should play well in that system.

reply

Slowly, slowly all will play with open cards :)

reply

2019 Deebo was awesome

reply

Let’s see what the history books say about this one

reply

Deebo looked crazy promising couple years ago. Speed, some strength. Missing some more determination I guess. Well cya Deebo lol

reply

See ya Deebo
