Here's a song that I quite disliked back when it first came out... nowadays, I consider it a classic 🤠

I used to really dislike it aswell, his voice used to really grate on me, but the more informed I became the more I appreciated his talent.

One of my all time favorite artists and a great video from his best times with a lot of strong imagery

I got to see him live in 05. He was an incredible live act. Amazing performer.

I cry every time I hear his ‘speed of pain’. It's an incredible song.
Maybe I'm too sentimental.

This is so odd. But like really interesting odd. Awesome choice.

Sometimes, I just need to batten down the hatches and get stuff done, and a nice long progressive house music session helps me do the trick.

This was the theme song to a TV program in the late 90s early 2ks called Roswell High if I remember rightly. Great track.
reply
I'm wrong. Roswell High was Dido - white flag.
How soon is now was Charmed (another 90s/2ks banger)

The Cure - Just Like Heaven

Such an iconic sound. Robert Smith's got such distinctive vocals.

Inspiration for "A Forest": The song "A Forest" was inspired by a childhood dream (or nightmare) of being lost in a forest. Robert Smith revealed that he had gotten lost in a forest as a boy, which influenced the song's themes of fear and disorientation.
