Simply put, from the perspective of western liberal world order, Georgescu cannot be allowed to win because he takes the common sense approach that confrontation with Moscow does much more harm to Romanians than to Russia.
And Romania is simply too important to NATO and the effort to weaken Russia. Washington and Brussels are already dealing with wayward governments in Hungary and Slovakia, but Romania is a different animal.

Oooo...this was a really circus...and also continuing... :) The Constitutional Court invalidated the vote because neither of the two major parties (PSD, PNL) made it to the second round. And then the "mud-throwing" continues, everyone blames someone else. I live here, I experience it firsthand.

Yes, it will be... Because were denied the right to participate in the repeat elections, and Georgescu don't want to accept it...
Btw...an intresting fact about Georgescu: he was an "unknown" person / politician before election. You couldn't even hear about him during the election campaign. And in the last 3-4 days before elections he started an agressive Tik_tok campaign (financed by several foreign "companies"), and he won the 1st round of elections (more than 70% of population between ages 18-35 voted him).
