I have many similarities with your journey, except that I don’t hate Apple—or at least I didn’t until I saw your points.
I’ve always used open-source software and Android devices. I switched to Apple in 2020 after getting tired of having outdated devices from lazy manufacturers and having to install ROMs made by dedicated devs from some European country who, unfortunately, could only fix issues in his ROM every two months. After all, he wasn’t making any money from it, and I had no knowledge to fix it myself.
Now that I’ve entered the Bitcoin world, my hard-user spark has reignited, and soon I’ll get an Android device and (still evaluating) replace my Mac with a PC.
You can’t be half-libertarian and half-Bitcoiner—you either go all in or you don’t, as long as you’re taking steps in that direction.
