I tried to start my own podcast (because we don't have enough of those already). I think I found a niche that I have something to offer. It is a German speaking podcast about responsibility, norms and values.
I have no technical skills and always hit a wall.
I am struggling to make my own intro.
Creating thumbnails is a horror.
My sound sucks.
I have no idea how to make proper reels or shorts.
I don't know how to grow the podcast. These are just some rambling thoughts.
Is there any source (free of course) with good help or tutorials that actually make sense?
Thanks for any help.

We use cleanfeed to record then upload the file to audacity to add intro and outro music and spotify for creators to add episode notes and publish it. That's about the extent of my knowledge. No idea about youtube we don't do video.

Couple questions:
  1. Audio sounds decent to me ( I watched a few minutes of most recent video). What about the Audio sounds off to you?
  2. I have been making thumbnails for the Stacker News Live Channel ("https://www.youtube.com/@stackernews/videos") for a couple months. What are you finding tough about it?
  3. For the intro are you thinking 1 intro same across all the videos or do you want a unique one for each episode?

Still seems to have a lot of background noise

They look much better! I want to click them!

The same for all, and if I know how to make them and find the time and skill, an individual might be better.

I don't speak German but I could use youtube translate to understand what the thumbnail should be about.
Let me know if you are interested in me creating some for you and we can discuss via email or DM.

I think I realized why I didn't hear the background noise at first. I had my headphones turn down some. Your voice is coming through loud and clear, so I didn't need audio up to high.
To Test I went back and turned the audio up all the way and I can hear some background noise.
So you might try bringing the mic closer to your mouth, which will allow you to turn down the sensitivity. Which should pick up less background noise.
The background noise to me sound like a laptop fan. How far is the computer away from the microphone?

A good meter or so. It's not very close.

Dyor see what works for you master your equipment then get the fancy stuff get a mic good picture with camera and just act like ur speaking to someone having a conversation. Just keep pumping them out and also relevant hashtags for shorts keep em 15 seconds I'd say longest videos on YouTube 3-5 mins still messing with it too but looking more long term just getting videos up Mr. Beast n all the channels u see have teams remember that. For uploading I'd go with @wavlake made it so easy to be able to upload they r sick.
