I can't believe it took me so many years actually to learn cooking, and the freedom to make anything you want to eat is amazing.
And finally no longer need to wait for takeaway or think going where to eat, and it's so much healthier!

The secret I found is fresh ingredients, olive oil, onion, garlic, and the internet, with some trial and error!
but being around elder people, mums or grandmothers is much better than the internet

or Turkish:) they also use tomato paste or biber paste here, amazing.

biber paste is not so common but tomato paste and fresh tomatoes are an everyday ingredient in Portuguese cuisine

That's part of the reason why the nomad lifestyle is unsustainable; I can't tell you how much you craved home-cooked food after a few years of traveling, hence a home base is one of the solutions:)

It's amazing to see people making their own yogurt and bread. Then you taste it, and wow, it tastes so much better!
And the funny part is it's not even that hard to make; the only hard part, perhaps, is having the time and patience.
