So you never bought shitcoins? Ever?
I did in the beginning. Have about 10-15% less BTC than I should because of it. I learned the lesson quick enough to save myself. I am embarrassed to say it now, but in the beginning I thought Nano was a good alt. Oof. Then I heard Matt Odell hilariously rip Nano apart and I sold. He is someone I appreciate a lot. Among many others.

Did you pick that up from Reddit? Even now it's shilled there quite strongly. I can only imagine there's a group of influencers paid to do so by the Nano foundation.
reply
Yes, yes I did. And Twitter. The "community" had a narrative and pushed it well.

Don't worry. We've all been there (or at least most of us).
My first crypto purchase was BTC, ETH, LTC and DASH. Evenly spread.

Thinking back I was about to "diversify" my BTC into a bunch of alts. I got lucky and listened to the right people at the right time.

The first principles gang is here to brag.
No shitcoins ever.
Just look at this one chart. It's not close. There's no question. https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/hashrate-btc-ltc-bch-xrp-xmr-dash.html#alltime
You (all of us) need to teach the fundamentals.
Bitcoin is the proof of work crypto with the highest hash rate. Buy nothing else.

Indeed. I know this now. But when you're a noob there are lots of people misleading you. When I first got into this it was "Bitcoin can only to 7 TPS". Haha remember that TPS bullshit? Almost worked on me. But like I said I listened to the right people. I give them all the credit and myself none.
