Similar, but punters and kickers can play until much later, because they don't take a lot of hits and only play a few times each game.
How much game time does a kicker get? Are they paid less then the others because of that?
reply
Some of the punt totals for a season were under 80, which is only five per game. Punters are usually also the placeholders for field goals and extra point kicks, so that's another half dozen or so plays per game. Occasionally, punters also do the kickoffs, which would be another half dozen or so plays.
They do tend to get paid less than other starters, partly due to not being as involved in the game. The good ones get paid more per play than a lot of other players, which might reflect how specialized their skills are.

Interesting do they get sacked often?
reply
Very rarely. It's catastrophic to let that happen, so teams go all out on blocking for those plays. There are also fairly severe penalties for hitting the kicker after the ball is away, unless the kick is blocked first.

Most importantly have you adopted an afl team yet ?

I'm not even close to that yet.
