Yupp. It's like fantasy game.
They have to be different by default. The bowlers can still come to bat and batsmen can bowl but I'd you don't choose them seperately you might miss some runs.
It'll make sense to you when I'll come up with the first post on Sunday. I'll give you an entire list of players from both teams with their respective roles.
Thanks. You're in.
This sounds fun

Thanks. You'll enjoy this. I thought about how could I apply a newness to our ever expanding game formats. We've had survivor pool, prediction pools like CricZap, your NBA all Star format. Then I thought of applying kinda fantasy game for IPL. And I can up with this idea.
Moreover, I'm just trying to show the range of games we can play on ~stackers_sports.

You're right about it being a nice first step towards ~Stacker_Sports fantasy. We'll have to think about building off of this for NFL.

I think it would better fit into MLB.
For Football, how do you think we gonna distribute points, let's say we choose 3 players with different roles. Are we gonna consider points for passing Yards, tackle, touchdown and so on.

I hadn't thought it through, but it wouldn't be so hard to just use players' fantasy points earned. The big problem is roster management, if we're doing it internally.
I'm thinking a mini-team might have 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR/TE, and 1 Defense, but I don't know how we'd deal with roster turnover in a manageable way.

I think we need to go match by match. It can't be a one time pick 'em for complete series fantasy game due to edit required because of roster turnover.
