Thanks. You'll enjoy this. I thought about how could I apply a newness to our ever expanding game formats. We've had survivor pool, prediction pools like CricZap, your NBA all Star format. Then I thought of applying kinda fantasy game for IPL. And I can up with this idea.
Moreover, I'm just trying to show the range of games we can play on ~stackers_sports.

You're right about it being a nice first step towards ~Stacker_Sports fantasy. We'll have to think about building off of this for NFL.

I think it would better fit into MLB.
For Football, how do you think we gonna distribute points, let's say we choose 3 players with different roles. Are we gonna consider points for passing Yards, tackle, touchdown and so on.

I hadn't thought it through, but it wouldn't be so hard to just use players' fantasy points earned. The big problem is roster management, if we're doing it internally.
I'm thinking a mini-team might have 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR/TE, and 1 Defense, but I don't know how we'd deal with roster turnover in a manageable way.

I think we need to go match by match. It can't be a one time pick 'em for complete series fantasy game due to edit required because of roster turnover.

There's an in-between option that I'm thinking of where we all select our players before the season starts and those are your players until they either get injured or have their bye-week.
Then, you select a replacement, who becomes your player until he either gets injured or has his bye-week. Rinse and repeat, until the season ends.
Redrafting every week would be way too much work, as would letting people swap players in and out. This approach gives some roster turnover, without nearly as much admin effort.
