Maybe we get her in the lightning dash for a rematch

Yes let’s go! That would be awesome! Anyone use Strava? It’s fun to run against others virtually there!

reply

I use Strava . I might spin up lightning dashers run club as its own account then maybe add to Strava and work with the hustle on using his app runstr once it’s up. Have you been in any run clubs before?
The run club I’m thinking will be the one organising our races and possibly have membership and then limited exclusive merch for members to buy etc so some very limited merch could be cool

reply

Yeah I’ve been on clubs but it’s hard not to dix your location if you run from your house. I have it block the start / end of my rns.

reply

Yep, I doxed my location sharing a run from Nike Run Club. That was pretty much the inspiration behind me building a run tracker myself.

reply

Well this run club will let you keep your private life private

Sounds great!

Suggestions for my first session back today maybe 400s? Or should I do 200’s

X amount at goal five k pace or something what you think?

reply

You have to be careful not to go too fast too soon. I prefer 800’s if you think you can do them. Start with 2-3 of them if you can at 5k goal pace with 2-3 minute rest in between. If you do 400’s shoot for 10-20 seconds faster than 5k race pace and start with 4-6. Ideally I like to build up to 3 by 1 mile at 5k goal pace or 5-10 seconds faster with 5 min rest in between. Nothing magical happens on race day. You need proof of work to build your confidence! Go get it!

reply

I’ll try 2 x 800 with 3 min

See if I can hit pace

Seems like i'm essentially making the bitcoin/nostr version of Strava

reply

Hum yeah. The challlege with Strava is it’s hard to not disclose your residence. I have it block the beginning and end of my runs, but it’s close.
