Thought I would document this as it might be helpful for people who are planning on learning robosats.

So basically, sometimes things just take forever, and you will be left in limbo for a while.

so today I had good seller who was fast to release btc after I sent the fiat, but for some reason , the WoS hodl invoice had failed after being stuck on pending for ages.

it then took basically 4 hours of this

eventually, when it prompted me to put in a new receive invoice, i tried WoS again and it failed again so 30 more mins of

then I just used an Aqua invoice and it worked.

I wasn't too worried as i was sure that someone could help, but my request on simpleX was left pending. i did eventually reach out to the coordinator on nostr and they responded, but the sats already arrived.

so i think my advice is to be patient and have simpleX chat installed beforehand and maybe also add the various coordinators on nostr in advance too.

no idea why the WoS invoice wasn't working , never had issues before, but yeah, be prepared for stuff like this to happen, it's part of the kyc premium!

Good post! Thanks for the information. Yes, sometimes things can take forever. I was, and still am a little green. I used to make an offer, and it never occurred to me that it might be accepted while I'm sleeping. Then, I almost lost my bond once since the three hour window almost passed while I slept. Now I hit the pause offer button every night before bed.

So far, I made or took an offer only if I knew I was going to stay awake long enough.

Try out Boltz.exchange! I suffered a lot with failed invoices, needing to resubmit, etc. But with Boltz.exchange, it JUST WORKS. Use another wallet for the bond.

i never thought of that, usually i just swap out later from sats using bolts, but if i did that it might eliminate a step. I'll test it next dca

Ah yes it happened to me to be one of those guys that make you wait, I... slept.
