I'm sure though those are all valid concerns, so it'd be worth elaborating if any one here knows.
Unsettled HTLCs: I guess this means get them to expire by design and basically get people's funds locked for long amount of time?
Too many graph updates: flood the gossip network with constantly changing channel statuses?
