I am really bad at editing, so I think some AI tool could help me a lot with it.
I've seen someone in PlebLab using a tool where they just select something and then the AI removes that thing from the image while preserving the background but they are in a call right now so I figured I just ask here.
For example, I want to remove the hair that sticks out of JD Vance's hat in this image:
I asked ChatGPT to do this because it supports image upload but it gave me this after 5 minutes of waiting:
🙄
I told it this:
can you remove the hair that sticks out of the hat on JD vance?

5k sats for whoever gives me the best result with an explanation how they did it so I can do it myself next time. Best result includes improving the position of the hats without making the whole image look retarded. It should stay as close to the original as possible.

how about some good old 'photoshop'?
errased the hair and then used the smudge tool

A few minutes on Canva. Use a brush with a little bit of transparency and select colors from the background
AI is not always the answer

I already paid the bounty to three other people (#937437, #937528, #937621) with similar nice results to be fair. But since you were a few minutes too late and this is your first item, I'll also pay you the bounty!
I'll pin a comment that this bounty is over now; I already paid out 20k sats lol
But before I click on pay bounty: did you attach a wallet (lightning address is enough) to receive sats?

Nah you good 🧡

Really great at painting hats on them- but frustrating that it keeps changing the scene from their original poses...

Even being very specific with my prompting there scene gets changed :/ This is equal parts fun/frustrating...
Here is a classic photo of Zelensky (left), Trump (middle), and Vance (right) in the white house. I want to edit this photo so that they are all wearing this yellow hat (the logo should be readable). Be sure not to change the position of their hands or head and preserve the facial expressions seen in the original photo.
On the bottom left overlying Zelensky's legs, a whie caption should read:*
"NEW STACKERS: I AM JUST HERE TO STACK CHEAP SATS"
On the top right (between Trump and Vance), a white caption should read:
"OLD STACKERS"

Another variant we can do is with embroiled yellow/goldish logo on black hat https://agora.ftp.sh/product/stacker-news-dark-trucker-hat-embroidery/

The yellow version is available only via https://agora.ftp.sh/product/stacker-news-gold-trucker-hat/

It removed the hair... but unfathomably changed the face so that it no longer is JD. Like, but why?! (edit: and fiddled out the text, I see. Pff)
when I asked OpenArt to remove the hair sticking out... JD turned into some dinosaur-alien type creature...
reply
in Fotor I just clicked the excess hair and asked it to be removed

If you can program a website that does this easily... even if it's just a ChatGPT wrapper.... you will become one of the most influential programmers on the internet

I’ve tried having it modify both versions of the picture and it keeps on removing Jd Vance, but it does seem like it fixed the hat

I can't attest for others, cos my preferred AI image editing tool is the ADOBE IMAGE EDITOR and here's why.
  1. Advanced AI-Powered Features
Adobe Sensei Integration: Photoshop leverages Adobe Sensei, an AI and machine learning engine that automates complex tasks. Sensei powers features such as content-aware fill, which intelligently replaces unwanted elements in an image, and enhanced selection tools that quickly identify and isolate subjects. This reduces manual effort and accelerates the workflow.
Automated Adjustments and Enhancements: The AI-based enhancements include automatic image adjustments, noise reduction, and even style transfer effects that help users fine-tune images with minimal effort. These capabilities allow both novices and professionals to create polished results without a steep learning curve.
  1. Precision and Control
Non-Destructive Editing: Adobe Photoshop allows users to apply AI-driven adjustments in a non-destructive manner using layers and smart objects. This means edits can be tweaked or reversed without permanently altering the original image data, maintaining the integrity of the work.
Detailed Customization: While AI handles many repetitive tasks, Photoshop still offers granular controls for users who need to fine-tune every aspect of their work. This balance between automation and manual control makes it adaptable to both quick fixes and detailed retouching.
  1. Seamless Integration and Ecosystem
Integration with Creative Cloud: Photoshop is part of Adobe's broader Creative Cloud suite, which means it integrates seamlessly with other tools like Illustrator, Lightroom, and Premiere Pro. This ecosystem allows artists and designers to maintain a consistent workflow across various media types.
Third-Party Plugins and Extensions: The platform’s extensibility through plugins provides even more AI-powered functionalities beyond the built-in tools. Professionals can customize their workflow by integrating additional software solutions as needed.
  1. Industry Standard and Community Support
Trusted by Professionals: Photoshop has been the go-to image editing tool for decades. Its deep roots in professional photography, graphic design, and digital art give it credibility. The continual evolution of its AI features positions it as a forward-thinking tool that meets both current and future editing needs.
Extensive Learning Resources: With a large user community, abundant tutorials, and Adobe’s own support materials, users have a wealth of resources to quickly learn and harness the power of AI features in their projects.
  1. Innovation and Continuous Updates
Ongoing Feature Development: Adobe consistently updates Photoshop with cutting-edge AI technologies that push the boundaries of what can be automated and optimized in image editing. This commitment to innovation ensures that the software remains relevant and powerful in a rapidly evolving field.
Conclusion
Adobe Photoshop stands out not only because of its comprehensive set of tools but also due to its seamless integration of AI technologies that enhance efficiency, precision, and creative flexibility. Whether it’s automating time-consuming tasks, enabling detailed manual control, or integrating into a broader ecosystem of creative tools, Photoshop’s AI capabilities set it apart as one of the premier image editing tools in the industry.
Give it a try.

Ha—alright, while everyone are busy talking about the best Ai tools for image editing, I'll be going the savage route! Lol.
I won’t totally trash tools (some folks still get value from them), but I'll call out some that are often criticized or just plain underwhelming. Here's a rundown of AI image editors that tend to disappoint:
  1. Remove.bg (free version)
Why it’s weak: Super basic, often leaves jagged edges or weird halos. Great for quick jobs, but not clean enough for anything professional.
Verdict: Good in a pinch, but don’t expect magic.
  1. Fotor AI Photo Editor
Why it’s meh: Tries to do a lot (retouching, background changes, filters), but rarely does anything well. Results can look plasticky or unnatural.
Verdict: Jack of all trades, master of none.
  1. Pixlr AI Tools
Why it struggles: While the core editor is solid, the AI features (like background removal or AI cutouts) are inconsistent—misses fine details or gives weird borders.
Verdict: Not useless, but not reliable for anything precise.
  1. FaceApp (for actual editing)
Why it flops: Cool for filters and age swaps, but if you're trying to actually edit an image (retouching, object removal, etc.), it's just not built for that.
Verdict: Fun gimmicks, but not an editing tool.
  1. Canva AI (for image generation and edits)
Why it’s disappointing: Canva is amazing for layouts and templates, but their AI image features (like Magic Edit or background replacement) feel super beta and often produce warped or low-res results.
Verdict: Great design tool, weak AI editing.
So if you're seeking the best Ai image editors, don't look this direction. Lol

It messed up the text on the hats, in the bottom left and some hair is still sticking out

This one is good. I used Google's AI Magic Eraser available on Google Photos. Just touch the area you want to erase, and it does it! There are so many options available to edit an image perfectly. But you can't prompt; instead, you have to do it manually. I'll ask my prof, who has a Midjourney subscription, whether the AI can edit images neatly, because I doubt free versions of AI could do that without messing up other things.
Hope you'll like it :)
