Treasuries are hitting the end of their length and so we have to reissue them along with the interest payments for others like normal

Yellen relied heavily on short term USTs. https://reason.com/2025/01/10/janet-yellens-short-term-thinking-could-cost-the-u-s-big/ Few buyers seriously believe they are good for more than a few years anymore. US insolvency is imminent.

Using your own definition we are in imminent danger of a pandemic, an asteroid hitting the earth possibly killing humanity, and our own sun swallowing us. Those are all impending things that will happen.
There is a way people use words and impending isn't the correct one even if it fits. Historically countries collapse when they militarily become weak and that's not an issue at all with the US as our 20-30 year old tech is still further advanced than near peer advisories. Would they do significant damage? Oh sure but at the end of it they don't have the ability to sustain a war when the frontlines wont be anywhere near US soil

No they are not. You are the one who does not understand the word imminent. God help a government with such illiterate and clearly biased public service employees.
US debt servicing is now a greater expense than military. The US government is addicted to debt and increasingly nobody wants to buy UST bonds. Insolvency can occur very rapidly when you have reached a point where debt becomes a crippling burden due to a false belief that you can endlessly take on more debt without consequence. US exceptionalism is today delusional.
The US cannot build military or commercial shipping competitively. The US military industrial complex is obese, corrupt and increasingly obsolete and vulnerable to asymmetric attacks. Such as China, BRICS and others not buying USTs anymore. Such as Iran, Russia and Saudis settling oil trade outside USD/SWIFT and the end of petrodollar hegemony. Trump at least acknowledges this. The US cannot operate a trade or fiscal surplus.
The US empire is facing imminent insolvency. It is alienating traditional allies and aligning with despots and war criminals. It has started am unlawful desperate tariffs trade war that it will lose if continued, and if it backs down it will lose too. The tariffs are a desperate attempt to stave of imminent insolvency. At best they might work in the short term. Long term they will be toxic.

You sir are wound up way way too tight. It’s clear as day you hate the direction this country is going and that’s your god given right however the mental gymnastics you are having to do to have your cake and eat it to must be killing you.
Our allies from Europe to Asia have leveraged American good faith and resources without proper payment for way to long. It wasn’t until Trumps first term that NATO countries started to actually fall into compliance with the military spending agreements. Even now with the exception of Poland, who reminds me a Texas, the countries have moaned and complained the entire time. Oh and the Philippines their President Marcos is huge on partnering with and paying their fair share with the US.
The rest of the soapbox you’re on isn’t something to address because you have cemented your feet into your way of thinking and are not looking at the large picture. Calling the US military machine obsolete when we had three flying 6 Gen fighters flinging while China struggles with one is wild. Russias doesn’t even deserve the 5th gen title due to the rivots down the side and the clear issue they have manufacturing with serial production having started 2 or 3 years ago now and a max belief of 20 jets might exist.
