You could add "curated news feed" too. We still have trash news posted, but not so much because ofc ... "pay to post" so not so "profitable" for spammers to post garbage links/news.

yes, why not? Instead of browsing / subscribing to many bullshit sites, I came to SN and read only important news.

"pay to post" is probably the best thing to describe the filter on what's available to look at here.
"get paid to respond intelligently" is something that could bring assmilkers, but I think will bring worthwhile contributions also.
