Be aware: they have many different nodes now, including Rizful node.
That's quite subjective. Each node runner is adjusting his fees depending on the traffic it gets. Most of them are adjusted for keeping alive the service.
Did you tried to run a public node as a LSP and see how much it cost you to keep alive 100 private channels that barely move sats?
Public routing fees is pure free market environment. Very few node runners can afford to run full 0 fees routing, maybe only for their own private users, but not publicly.
I don't want to defend Megalith node, but I understand their policy because I know how is to run a public node.
Understood just for my set up that Channel made it expensive (relative to sats) to withdraw from strike
