I'm getting confused.
If I have a CoinOS account setup, can I use it to actually authenticate my login, or can I only use it to attach a wallet?
There's a option in stacker news Settings, to Link Lightning (it also shows up as a login option). Is this NWC? How do I use it with CoinOS?
I've been experimenting, but I don't know what to do with this QR code in CoinOS. If I try to scan it (via the "send" option) it gives an error, bad request.
I tried in CoinOS - Receive. It does have a "more options" at the bottom, which shows LNURL, but that doesn't appear to work either.

Regarding coinos: it is listed as a service that supports LNURL-auth here so I would expect it to work if you scan it via "send." Not sure why it gives an error. /cc @adam_coinos_io
I just tested our lightning login with Phoenix and it works.
edit: just tested with coinos and I also get "bad request" as an error. I don't see why it shouldn't work; the network tab also shows no errors.

Nostr login is the best method. As backup use a LN-auth from a dedicated LN wallet but not a custodial! If the custodial is closing your access you lose login to SN.
Why people rely so much on these custodial when it cost you nothing to create a nostr account or run a proper LN wallet?
Custodial accounts must be used only temporary, as decoy, as testing or specific one-time use. Not for long time and be dependale. Custodial = disposable
