I have been a big fan of The Band since my high school days in the 1970s. For years I promised myself I would go up to Levon Helm's Barn/studio in Woodstock, New York to see an impromptu performance. I never made it before Levon's passing in 2012. I finally made it up to that famous venue earlier this month.
It was a great show with great musicians, including Phil Leah's son and Levon's daughter and grandson.
Memorable night.
Wow that looks like an awesome venue for the show.
It was. The audience was old Woodstock hippies. Very interesting set list. They interspersed songs from both bands, rather than play separate sets.
Looks like an intimate venue.
Tiny. With packed in standing room ( I had no seat) there couldn't have been more than 1000 people in there.
These "make" memories that you will never forget...
