This is a rigged game.
Mhh, good point, but let's see.
Our API is not that easy to understand and they still need to pay for each comment. If it's a really naive bot, it's going to run into spam fees and/or comment way more than needed.

100 comments for 1 sat each guarantees 900 sats profit
reply
lol you can 10x your money with that rule ... actually if freebies are allowed, this is much worse.
I guess I can raise the comment cost in ~meta to save ek from going poor.

Up to you, I just want to see how this goes
Surely I can't lose more than 100k sats on this, right? Right?
Or at least the next chart of @denlillaapan will look really funny
reply
...or maybe just the same... man, it'd be funny if you try this whole thing and it gets drowned in the overall decline of SN activity anyway
reply
Nah nah, don't bail him out

He said freebies do not count

I guess I should sell my NO shares.
reply
Right. .. imma little scared. will enjoy the demise of SN though
reply
Are you going to give up that easy?
reply
If I win I will put all the sats on YES on predyx. That will have the added benefit of tanking @Undisciplined's NO shares.
reply
If you push us all the way to 1.5M, though, you'll have made me more powerful than ever.
reply
I sold all my NO shares for both markets. Next week @ek will have a bot army. It's no longer a fair market.
Rigged games are the most fun games there are.

If they are rigged in your favour.

I'm just rooting for the under dog. And low effort shit posting is kind of my thing so...

This does throw a bit of a curveball into things. As a one off, it probably doesn't make much difference but if this becomes a weekly thing we can catch up pretty quick.
reply
Time to start betting on yes lol.

Heyz the underdog here is me, noo??

me neither.
I was a little scared yesterday when I saw the comment count in the main post tick up (#948515)... but then I realized SN is so hopelessly far behind the 1.4m target that ek has to repeat this feat every single day for the rest of the year to catch up

Earth has proven to be quite the muse for musicians. Marvin Gaye’s 1971 hit, “Mercy, Mercy Me” was about ecological conservation. Joe Walsh made an entire album, Songs for a Dying Planet, about it. In 2015, Paul McCartney, Sean Paul, and Natasha Bedingfield, among others, recorded “Love Song to the Earth,” an all-star composition to raise awareness of climate change.
