There is no real state resistance to totalitarianism anymore. In the EU this was decimated with brexit and within the UN this has slowly eroded since GWB. Commies are unopposed.
I can't help but feel that the retreat from the world stage has consequences. However, this is a great incentive for resistance and thus bitcoin; however ugly things may get, there's an out.
