They have a github where you can report issues. And, when they are fixed, you’ll be paid as the issue reporter. Are you looking for something different?
Bookmarks are ok but where’s SN special there. I made a tampermonkey script for myself that does do that though and I am willing to share it with others.
I didn’t know that, this should be made public, but this isn’t just about issues, I would like to report site vulnerabilities too.
Start a Bug Bounty Program (BBP) for devs who would like to work with SN
You can use the GitHub issues report to point out bugs in the software or recommend features. As the reporting individual (i think) you get paid out by stacker news when the feature is implemented. As the developer, likewise, you get paid when the feature is implemented.
Add a simple ɓreakdown of how the reward incentives are given for clearer understanding by the new comers cos that's the major question that gets into the mind of 80% of new signups. "How much can I earn daily" is one major question that almost every new sign up ask. So giving a simple explanation of how rewards are gotten and distributed, will ease their heart.
I am curious to see SN experiment with the UI on mili-sats (values less than 1 Sat).
As BTC increase in purchasing value I can see a need in zapping less than 1 Sat. Does SN start displaying decimal (1.23 Sats) or maybe CCs become the unit for mili-sats.
Have a ‘bespoke’ page. Where I only see content related to users or territories I have subscribed too. Posts and posts that users who I have subscribed to have engaged with.
Maybe too early yet but as the noise increases it would be good to have this option.
Currently, whenever a stacker I’ve subscribed to posts, I get notifications (I’ve enabled push notifications). However, these notifications get mixed with others, and the notification area gets cluttered. As a result, I sometimes miss comments that are directly on my posts.
Would it be possible to have a separate section specifically for "subscribed" posts? This way, we could see what subscribed stackers have posted in a dedicated area without cluttering the main notifications.
Maybe this could be an additional option, similar to the ones we already have for hot, recent, random, or top? It’d help organize things better.
Thank you Stackers for your wonderful views and opinions in this poll. I believe, where necessary @k00b, @ek and all SN contributors will use your ideas for a better SN.
I would really like territory analytics so I can know things about where stackers spend their time.
Anyone can already see what gets zapped the most but not enough data is available for things like time on page, where users came from, did they click on links, etc.
The more data that territory founders have, the better we can cultivate our territories.
For sure I would love to be able to organize my bookmarked articles! As someone who uses folders like crazy I’m kinda dying at the state of my bookmarks section lol!
I would suggest changing the notifications a bit, different colors between comments and posts from people and territories I follow. I'm getting used to it over time, so it's not something I would suggest with much reluctance.
I really like this simplified, text-focused UX, so that's one thing I wouldn't want them to change.
