Human Spaceflights by Year – This simulation shows the number of people who have traveled to space annually between 1961 and 2021. The data is based on the 2022 report from the CSIS Aerospace Security Project. Each crewed launch is counted individually, meaning that astronauts who have participated in multiple missions in the same year are counted more than once, once for each flight.
