I'm looking for ideas about the practice of recovering a wallet offline. This is just to practice the recovery method in an offline environment without any intent to use, just to know that you are able to access it at a later date. Retrieving a matching master fingerprint would give confidence that you're able to recover cold wallet funds when needed.
Using a hardware wallet like the Q4 Coldcard with its keyboard makes typing out passphrases a lot easier. Some of the other HWW make this quite time consuming when you need to navigate character by character.
The easier way would be to have a computer with Sparrow or Electrum installed that doesn't connect to the internet. Do you this might not be as secure?
I think recovering a multisig would require using a computer anyway right?
Thoughts?

I’ve thought about using Sparrow on a device that’s offline but that requires trust that a device with an antenna cannot connect to the web by itself and log keystrokes or something.
For recovering a wallet 100% offline, I use a SeedSigner so I know that it CANNOT connect to the internet at all.
Thoughts?

I might have to try Seedsigner. I have a Pi4 which I hear you can do it on.

I think you can but the Pi 4 has antennae so you have to trust that it can’t phone home.
You don’t have to trust boards that don’t physically have the hardware to connect to the internet.
