While all of you hooligans have been arguing about OP_RETURN, I've discovered that bitcoin is actually being used by criminals!!! I've been hard at work making a web page to bring attention to this issue. Please share it with your representative, senator, or any other interested parties so that we can bring attention to this issue.

www.bitcoinisforcriminals.com

Anyway, sorry to throw more FUD on the fire, but it's just true.

  1. In all seriousness, let me know ASAP if you think this puts anybody in danger. I figure since all of the "criminals" on here are high profile enough that I could have AI write their rapsheets, this won't create any new issues for anybody.
  2. If you want to fix any typos, inaccuracies, add anything, or just make this look professional, let me know and I'll send you the repo. It's literally just an html and css file right now. I had the idea and threw it together pretty quick.
Please share it with your representative, senator, or any other interested parties so that we can bring attention to this issue.

That's stupid and useless. They will just laugh about because they do not care.
And they are not "my representatives"... I am myself, nobody can "represent" me.
Stop being like a child begging to politicians for favors or privileges... grown up men do not need permission.

You may wanna take a look at the site. 😉

reply

Yes saw it. Have nothing to do with the comment "sending it to my representatives"... wtf is that bullshit?

reply

So, if you get the joke of the site, the whole, “share with your reps,” part is kind of the next level trolling. In my fantasy world, senator Warren cites it in some speech about illicit activity.

reply

to the politicians you better send them a fax with https://bitcoinfax.net/ (paid with sats)
or much better something "nice" with https://www.shitexpress.com/ (paid with sats)

reply

Do you get these like... random sites to do stuff with Bitcoin??? i would never find these otherwise

reply

Yeah, @DarthCoin, I’d love to know where you find this stuff. Can you make a guide to esoteric Bitcoin sites?!

reply

12+ years in Bitcoinlandia... Saving them in bookmarks, guides, use them. I always paid attention to everything was discussed, shilled, tested etc.
Many people are not paying attention to what is going on.
All important ones are always in my guides.
Here for example I put a list of resources

Bwahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone here actually used that second one? Is that for real?

reply

Brilliant. I'm moving to Pakistan to liberate myself from this nonsense

reply

Bruh!! Pakistan has been nurturing terrorists fo 30 years because USA wanted them to.

reply

I think he’s joking.

reply

Yea, I knew.
I was also joking. Actually one of their leaders recently made a comment that they hold and nurture terrorists because USA said so.
Also the recent tensions of Pakistan with India has left them with no other choice than to lift the ban from Bitcoin.

Now they have even appointed CZ to help them regulate the virtual currency space.

I think Pakistan no longer bans Bitcoin.

reply

Oh shit, I forgot about that. Yeah, I'll update that soon for the sake of accuracy.

reply

The government actually takes law and order and human rights seriously over there.

Somebody else found some that I just integrated the PRs for this morning. Not sure if it's the same stuff you're seeing, but thanks either way.

reply

Interesting angle. Made some pull requests on your repo for a few typos

reply

Thanks so much You got the grammar skills to pay the bills.

reply

Good thing I'm paid to edit books...

reply

Another twist on this would be a page dedicated to the bankers coming in now.

reply

...I think I'm following you. Can you describe more of what you're thinking?

reply

Just that the real criminals of our economy are the big banks, which are now coming into Bitcoin in a big way, so Bitcoin is clearly now also for criminals indeed.

reply

The Hall of Fame of 21st Century Freedom Fighters has been published.

Bravo!

reply

It's kind of a weird experience making a page dedicated to all your heroes, but is a satire that on the surface looks like it's critiquing them.

One of the most common criticisms of cryptocurrency is that it is the currency of criminals. Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan Chase, the biggest bank in the US, famously said “If you were in Venezuela or Ecuador or North Korea or a bunch of parts like that, or if you were a drug dealer, a murderer, stuff like that, you are better off doing it in bitcoin than US dollars,”

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, when referencing terrorist financing, stated “The technologies to accomplish this change over time and we need to make sure that our methods for dealing with these matters, with tech terrorist financing, change along with changing technology, cryptocurrencies are a particular concern.”

So, is there truth behind this? Are cryptocurrencies really the go to financial tools for criminals?

Without a doubt, there are examples of cryptocurrencies being used for nefarious purposes, such as payment for ransomware attacks, to launder dirty money, etc. This is unavoidable, as it is with any currency. I mean, criminal activity happened before crypto existed, and had no problem operating in national currencies such as the US Dollar.

This will scare the state even more imho, not good /s

reply

Well it's quite informative articles but I think the title is not very appropriate. Although left and right always exists.

reply

Not because some people do criminal actions with bitcoin we must populate this for all people.

reply

Buhh excuse me brah! ain't you a criminal? Hmmm don't tell me you're a joker. 😐

reply

Okay, I saw what you were doing there. It wasn't this time.
