I am Russian and all my family and friends are there. It is not about intellect, but political views. All opposition leaders and supporters, as well as free thinking journalists are killed, exiled or jailed.

Nemtsov, Navalny, Politkovskaya, Litvinenko, Magnitsky, Starovoytova did shit and were killed. Russia's political system is fascism by all definitions of the term.

Through violence only a greater fascist can come to power. I am not saying there is a smart or easy way to resist. I am saying one can leave, die, be jailed or survive and endure. And enduring such life is negative selection, like in the USSR or China. The west is not far behind nowadays.
