First American pope: The new pope has been revealed as Robert Prevost of the US, the first American pontiff in history. He’ll be known as Pope Leo XIV. This comes after white smoke billowed above the Sistine Chapel, the signal that cardinals had selected a new pontiff on the second day of the conclave.

Busy. Out and about today. Thanks for the heads up. Go get those sats.

I've also been quite busy and although I'm at 1000 kms away from the border, I'm too much concerned about the whole situation of escalating this whole conflict into a full fledged war.

Pakistan fired 100s of missiles and 100s of drones in the evening, though none of them were able to hit the ground. Now India's restrained has broken and Indian army is hitting Pakistan with all its force. It's all happening here.

Stay safe my friend.

Did you get paid out for the Pope market?

reply

Yeah, but the same amount I put in there.

reply

It’s odd. I bought 62k shares but only got 40k sats

reply

I didn’t bet on this one.

reply

But you can still bet. The market is open.

It's interesting that the first American pope is arriving at this time.

reply

My guess is it is related to that other interesting post about the Catholic church's financial troubles. They need American money to get them out of debt.

Interesting, I don't think it's crazy to think that this is what's happening...

reply

*Second american Pope, Francis was the first. South america is also america.

reply

It wasn't Pizzaballa. The dream of Papa John has died.

reply

Guess this was surprise. Do we have any Catholic stackers? We have to right? And I don't mean former Catholics.

reply

Yup! Roman Catholic Apostolic here.

reply

Apostolic?

reply

Yes.

"Holy Roman Catholic Apostolic Church" refers to the Catholic Church, specifically the Latin Catholic Church, a major branch of Christianity that traces its origins to the apostles and is governed by the Pope in Rome.

It's more common to use this full name here in Brazil. Here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_Marks_of_the_Church

reply

Ah! Thanks for explaining

reply
