This is like taxation on steroids, it'll drive away rich and capable wo/men and achieve the exact opposite.
I can think of so many ways in how this law can be misused and abused by people in power.

I guess Canada is ok with total tyrannical control as long as it makes it easier to catch criminals. I mean why not lock everyone in cages? No crimes can be committed then.

I'm curious what "first world" countries will embrace Bitcoin in it's tax code if any. Would love to know ahead of time so I can move there rn :)

Critics? You mean people who aren't psychopaths?
Putting a camera in every bedroom would also reduce crime. Civilized societies don't do that because presumption of innocence exists and government powers have to be kept in check.
