Of course you will lol. I'll send an email but the order status in the app should update to show the tracking link as well.
No, but that would be a high priority if/when I continue the project. As mentioned in the OP I'm suspending it on Saturday 2/21 and sending all orders out on Sunday 2/22.
BTW, since you did place an order, how did you find the experience? Anything stand out, good or bad?
Idea is nothing special. People always complain about bitcoin/nostr stuff being too complicated and finicky...so I made it simpler. And everyone knows we need to strengthen the circular economy...so that's what I'm doing. It's not rocket science.
Let's see how the response is.
Thanks. Prices are same or less than what the original merchants are charging. But in most cases you have to pay shipping per item if you buy directly...on my site you pay shipping once for everything you buy. So you can save a ton of money that way.
Storing data locally makes the experience faster since there's no waiting for a server to load.
Privacy-wise, because there are no identities and no accounts, a user can choose to change their name and address anytime and there's no connection. For example, to a different PO Box with a different name. I would have no idea that 2 orders belong to the same person.
So it's just as much an experience thing as a privacy thing...the privacy benefit came for free.
I'm working on a new Bitcoin-only and Nostr-only storefront that aims to be beautiful, easy-to-use, and cheaper. None of the e-commerce options I've seen are simple or convenient...or even functional, in many cases.
It will be cheaper because I have a small inventory of all the products for sale, so you won't have to pay shipping per-product like you do now. Just 1 flat rate for everything.
sure, that would be great! let me know what i have to do.
what does that mean, in general? is there a write-up about ranking changes and boost pinning somewhere?
I see, understood. Maybe more customization is something that could be done in the future.
I do think batching goods together, perhaps in some user-determined way, could be valuable since logistics adds so much cost and friction for so many merchants. Amazon Prime has spoiled everyone.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll add a note for it being US-only.
Maybe the add-to-cart animation could be made a little more obvious. Personally I find it annoying when a website interrupts the browsing flow upon every addition, but maybe the way it's done now is too subtle.
The standard from what I've seen is to click the product title or picture to see more details.
It's designed as a single-page app/PWA optimized for mobile so there should never be a need to "go back" in a traditional sense.
