The Yekhayo Enterprise turns organic waste into briquettes, a substitute for firewood and charcoal in Malawi. The briquettes may also be used to heat industrial boilers in order to produce electricity from steam in large-scale production. The biomass briquettes are produced from agricultural wastes and act as a replacement of fossil fuels such as oil or coal. The company ensures that access to reliable heat energy is easily affordable for the average individual and is environmentally friendly.
