Away from the obvious centres of conflict in contemporary geopolitics: no European, Middle Eastern or South East Asian countries. Leaves only a handful of places.
āGame devā is a broad term nowadays ā PC or mobile? Mobile game dev is ārelativelyā easy; thereās so many templates in Unity. Itās not āreal developmentā though if youāre a hardcore engineer. AAA physics games otohā¦those can be.
Either way, the stuff Iām reading here about salaries isnāt true if youāre at a good company, as would be the same in most industries.
The thing that makes it back breakingly hard is that, these days, games go into LiveOps mode and it becomes a constant content creation treadmill that burns out the team.
Thereās also always the risk that your game flops, and sadly thatās pretty much instant bankruptcy and is the fate of ~80% of gaming startups.
Yep. Far too many Americans talking about theoretical nonsensical ideas of freedom versus real denial of freedom elsewhere.
Shame. A great wallet lost some great functionality. Still scope for it to be a terrific on-chain wallet, however. I am a fan of a lot of SBWās UI; it just needs the Bitcoin Design team to lend a hand imo
The reason to use a mixer is so misunderstood; the main actionable reason is to obfuscate the ability of someone you pay to look up your stash. This is a solid privacy reason, but with taproot, LN swaps, LN itself and many other novel ways of interacting with bitcoin, this is becoming an outmoded argument.
They had their time and place, folks should move on; Mixers are unnecessarily expensive and, for most people, unnecessary.
For the privacy zealots who may get triggered by this, know that I am one tooāIāve just come to realise that Whirlpool (in particular) is a waste of money. PayJoin I can see a little more use for, in a pinch, but I still question its value in the LN era.
Much more private than on-chain, but with a few caveats and āknow what youāre doingā things. Primarily, right now, when you generate an invoice, you reveal your nodeās public key and then people can go inspect your node.
I donāt like the FUD around LN privacy ā itās way better than on-chain and that gets dismissed too quickly imo.
