Looking into this a bit too. Funny how rising electricity prices create the inventive to get moving on energy.
I think solar only works if you live in the right place. Then its only available 1/3 of the day. A battery might help.
I see the sovereign energy ideal as completely unsolved so far.

Why did you pick these monero/litecoin pods? He's done heaps of other podcasts, the most recent being Nostrica.

I also have 2 kids. It's a big change & I do miss my old life. But instead of dwelling on the past, it's better to just go with it in the present.

I was running a node but probably wasn't using enough liquidity.
I got a few forces closes during this years onchain fee spike. Also we're moving next year so for now I might wait a bit longer to try again.
One thing I think is worth waiting for is the ability to take the hot keys out & have more of a cold LN setup. This I'd be more interested in!

In Australia most of the order books on hodlhodl, robosats are pretty thin. Looks like the USD & euro have the most.
Another way (which maxis might not agree with) is to do a few steps. If you can get into USDT first, then there are more options worldwide to buy BTC.

If there are any meetups in your area that might be a good place to find someone willing to sell you BTC for cash.
In large orders its still going to be difficult. I don't know what $100k in cash would look like but I'd imagine it would be bulky & the seller should probably verify the notes too.
