I mean look who really thought with Trumps track record he was a peace candidate? He literally blew one of Irans most senior and critical generals to pieces. He tripled the strikes in Yemen and Somalia like he wasnāt to peaceful.
What he did and has done is not put or keep boots on the ground. Under Trump though air strikes are a huge thing. I donāt think anyone saw Biden as a peace candidate and Obama ran on āChangeā what that was turns out to be reporter en chief. Clinton and Reagan they didnāt run on peace platforms at all.
You post the same couple of photos every time I engage with you. You are the one who canāt combat this. Iāve given you facts, sources, hell Chinese acknowledgment and all of them you do the same electrical production graph š
China just lost a SIGNIFICANT crude oil supplier along with Venezuela. They maxed out their Russian shipments while Russia already is lowering production because their shit keeps blowing up.
22% of Chinese imports were sanctioned (Russia, Iran, Venezuela) the other major suppliers were Saudi, Iraq, and Oman. Welp the whole Middle East is offline with the 10 million barrels per day from Saudiās west coast going to Europe and India because China is to far for the quicker and thus more money turn arounds. Venezuela isnāt sending them oil. Russia maxed out.
China is electricity poor already. Sure throw your graph up your comparing the 350 million U.S. population to what 1.2 billion? Yeah you damn sure better be build like crazy hell they pumped out I want to say it was 55 new coal plants alone more than had been stood up in several years combined. China had a massive youth unemployment rate you donāt have an answer for and pivot to the trade war is lost for the U.S. but even with our economy not firing on all cylinders our youth unemployment isnāt anywhere near Chinas.
PREACH!!!! I am beyond shocked at people on SN not realizing that Iran has tried to carry out assassinations in the U.S. not just against Trump but literally Iranian activists in the U.S. How Iran has fueled the proxy wars and how the Houthis literally were nuking international shipping and that hits the U.S.
Iranian proxies have killed US personal (troops and contractors both) in the last few years. Iād assume they would want peace in the Middle East after all thatās good for the world but they seem possessed with letting the chaos linger and scream it doesnāt affect us because it doesnāt touch the mainland. Trade, citizens aboard, these people seem to scream fuck em.
Forever wars go hand in hand with boots on the group and frankly thatās not the case. Could that change? Yep but right now a week in thatās just not accurate. Libya was not a forever war but we bombed the hell out of them for a while same with Yemen. No boots just air strikes.
You clearly are missing that Iran has for decades resulted in asymmetrical warfare towards the U.S. You know in the 90ās and early 2000ās we actually got along pretty well with them but the moved to nuclear weapons. We already saw this play out with Pakistan and India two countries who hated each other but had them and you really think allowing them the only Shia country nukes wouldnāt cause the Sunniās to go all in? Then you have 5+ more nuclear countries.
Libya, Syria, Iraq all were clear evidence that the U.S. could prevent nukes. We blew there facilities to hell but guess what they were trying to rebuild them they had even said so.
They threatened US and world trade with their support for the Houthiās who attacked and killed civilians with no reason to. They claimed they were attacking Israeli ships, companies, or ships going to Israeli and only one of the three they hit and killed people with had any sort of tie to Israel the others⦠regular people.
You cannot simplify this war in the ways you want to. Even the time stamp of events highlight the U.S. needed to act. Israel was going to strike they gave us a heads up what do you think Iran would have done if it was only Israel? They would have attacked everything. Iran would have more ballistic and drones able to attack because 20 minutes after the Israeli strikes itās when we hit there launch, Air Force, and Naval capabilities.
Think critically look at the whole thing hell Saudi backed the strikes and lobbied Trump for them. There is a critical reason why you are not seeing the Gulf States react against the US because Iran has been a terror and leading destabilizing force. The modern lethal maiming IED is literally credited to them. They have killed and injured thousands of American troops in the last 26 years.
Donāt forget about the Beirut Embassy and later the Beirut peace keeping force bombing. We hadnāt done anything to them and they killed our people.
Excuse me as I BOOOOOOOOOOO @HardMoney for beating me to the punch š my man just spammed 1000 sats at a time š
I just wanna say BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO you because I tried to buy 1000 shares and it was in-between your buys and I fell after you so BOOOOOOOOOOO for knocking my profit BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Ayeeee my post made the Wumbo Pick!
The answer to Question 2 is that the demands that OpenAI agreed to that Anthropic didn't actually are not the whole mass surveillance autonomous weapons that Anthropic made the highlight. It was in the leaked letter from Anthropic's CEO about what caused the rupture and why I dont think it can be fixed at least with the current CEO because of everything he said.
In the letter the CEO mentioned that in the final DoW offer the Pentagon agreed to accept the terms when it came to Anthropic's wishes with mass surveillance autonomous weapons BUT still refused to allow Anthropic the ability to analyses bulk acquired data... ie the inputs and outputs that the Department used.
That is extremely extremely classified data. There is no good reason that a tech company would be looking into classified DoW data and if anything just creates holes and leaks in the classified structure. Its why the Pentagon made the comment that private industry should not be able to affect operations which Anthropic wanted.
Just so people know how crazy Anthropic is the House went to them first for being an authorized AI supplier and they demanded to know all the data that was run through Claude. People, rightfully so, talk about OpenAI as being an evil empire type of company harvesting everyone's data but they agreed to have firewalls put into place that they could not access House of Reps data but Anthropic still 2 years later has refused to budge and wanted to get your personal identifiable information. Thats why Claude is banned on House devices and the website in not accessible. The House shut them down real quick because they do not need peoples personal info.
Jose Contreras freaking 17 year old son was AMAZING!
It could be an enterprise adoption nightmare. Anthropic really cant become profitable or anywhere close to it with just individual private users they need businesses and depending on how far they push/enforce the Anthropic ban it does have the ability to destroy some of the biggest customer contracts
Look I don't like being the world police either but when you are terrorizing global trade its going to be an issue. When you have the history going back ~50 years that the Islamic Regime has and the terrorist attacks they have facilitated something eventually is going to happen. We tried economics we tried limited strikes like when we blew half their navy out of the water in less than a day in the 80s under Regan but nothing stopped them.
Iran has waged an asymmetrical war with the US for decades. Starting with the Iranian Revolution they held our people hostage (terrible first impression), in1983 they via their proxy group drove a 2k pound car bomb into the U.S.'s Lebanese Embassy, then they followed it up with the Beirut Barracks bombing 6 months later killing over 200 American service members who were part of a peace keeping force the group behind both attacks stated it was part of furthering the Iranian revolution.
We then actually started to ease up tensions with them in the late 90s early 2000s but they chose to go the path of nuclear enrichment. We already saw with Inida and Pakistan what happens when one country who hates another gets a bomb and what do we think Saudi Arabia or the UAE or Qatar would have done if the rival of them had nuclear weapons? It would have started an arms race in an area not known for its stability even without the US being involved.
During the Iraq war Iran helped pioneer the modern day IED that frequently comes to peoples minds when they think of one. With this alone they are responsible for killing and maiming countless lives not just American and not just Collation forces but regular Iraqis.
Touching on just the last 4 years they have been caught trying to assassinate Iranian-American activist Masih Alinejad, President Trump, John Bolton, and others. Mind you these are all planned attacks just on US soil.
Then lets just finish this up with what we started with. Their proxy forces killing people plus causing trade chaos. We have the K1 Air Base attack in 2019, the Tower 22 drone attack of 2024 (I left out the retaliatory strikes in 2020 after we took out Soleimani since that was expected). Hamas in their attack on Israel mind you kidnaped and killed Americans as well. We didnt participate directly in the resulting Gaza War but we did for better or worse get Israel to dial it back considerably with Trump in office. The Houthi's have disrupted major trade routes and have literally killed sailors on container vessels this was done on behalf of their sponsor Iran who provided them with the weapons that they used. Iran itself has also gotten into the action using their fast boats to seize a few vessels over the last year including M/V Talara, MSC Aries, and the St. Nikolas.
All of this to say again do I want forever wars? No. Do I want American Service Members killed? No. Has this country for decades and decades pushed the envelope and killed our people without us doing anything? Yes.
This isnt a US double standard when the world agrees that murdering 35,000 people last month was just mind-blowingly terrible. Russia goes in a carpet bombs entire cities I mean just look at the "liberated" territory in the Donbass the builds are just piles of rubble. Then look at the US strikes I mean we have been showing them left and right we are hitting individual planes on runways it a vastly different situation. Russia is operating by terrorizing Ukraine or rolling their tanks into the Capitol of Georgia to force civilians to bend the knee to them.
I mean I would go on to argue that if anything these strikes show the exact opporite of what you say that it does show regards for human life because we aren't WWII style bombing like you see everyone else doing. Take Sudan, Myanmar, Russia, Ethiopia, etc. its all blowing up everything in the way and if you aren't blowing it up then just massacring the people you run into.
Has the U.S. fucked up over the years? Absolutely no questions asked. Do we try and do better? Absolutely.
Like I said a single kid killed deserves and requires answers and at the scale that this strike might have killed kids even more so but lets not act like the US is in anyway like these other countries or that because one out of over a thousand bombs hit a location that should not have been targeted.
Iran is nothing but a terror state. The Regime has not reacted to any sort of normal modern day negotiations in a positive way. Sadly there has only been one thing they have reacted and corrected course with and that is force. We saw it in the 80s and we saw it again in 2020. Their own people hate them and want them gone so we are removing the apparatus that has entrenched the terroristic Regime.
To be frank I haven't looked into this much at all because I have been having to deal with AI and Energy impacts (thats my actual portfolio). From what I've come to understand at least is that the girls school was located on a military base. Beyond that I do not really know specifics and will look into it more this weekend.
Even if the school was on a military base right next to all of the weapons systems and 1 kid was injured I would have serious questions because at the end of the day its a school. Unless there were literally rocket launchers on the roof I think everyone should have issues with this and demand transparency regardless of party or ideology.
From what I know at this minute I don't have a reason or justification for why something like this occurred. I am not a huge fan of what I am about to say and the line of thinking because I think it is a cop out but at the moment as things stand given these extensive military actions occurring there will be civilian deaths. I wish we lived in a world were everything always went correct and according to plan but that's just not a realistic option.
Again I need to look into this more and see what I can gather but this is at least a response to your question and how I am looking at this at the moment. Hopefully I can provide something better later but I just don't have the insight and understanding to provide one.
If the Netherlands had pitching they could really screw up Group D but I dont think they have enough. Its odd being able to count out Cuba because they are so strapped for players they are a 44 year old pitching who hasnt pitched in the majors in 10 years
I think we are looking at bullying differently because Anthropic was trying to bully the government still they wanted access to data that they have zero reason to ever look at. Plenty of classified things are completely lawful and deal with risks to life, intelligence on other countries moving war time equipment towards each other (think Cambodia and Thailand) and needing to run analysis on what the fallout could be, or mapping threats made to the US.
Anthropic doesn't need to access any of that ever. That's like putting holes in the bottom of a boat. It only leads to big big issues. Anthropic thought it could push a narrative and in this letter when they mention the final offer they declined because they wanted data inputs.
Well he pushed the door that wedged him arm. Because of that he was stuck hence the broken arm. If there had been any fighting the Marine would have lost leverage because he wouldnt have had his arm stuck in the door.
Holy Shit I NEVER imagined you being so fucking stupid to say the Supreme Leader is DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED šššš
Clearly you know nothing about Iranian politics or how their government is set up and functions. Jesus Google is free.
Also war crimes⦠thatās an American Civil War thing actually. So I will say I do think we know about them more than you. At one point Europe looked at making shotgun use a war crime because it was to good of a weapon in trench warfare.
You continue to act like China does but they donāt either hell no one really did compared to the good ol 50-60ās. You grew up and live under a U.S. given umbrella. Your former leader left the country and you are facing a dramatic increase of others following suit. While the U.S. is as well welp we still do have crazy not never legal immigration that in theory we could ignore and level it out.
Tons of facts there for you to go through esp. because of what Chinaās new 5-year plan said. They want to become a consumer country which well stands in dramatic and stark contract to a country reliant on manufacturing like you hype the up to be.
Also for anyone looking at this fool cause I know so many people have him muted because he has no answers but notice the lack of him answering points I hit at earlier š turns out Iran is able to vote for their Supreme Leader sure Iran would want to know about that new development!
Oh and Venezuela wasnāt a war crime. Same as how Panama wasnāt a war crime in ā89.
