So with West Bank I would actually point back to Gaza.... Israel not only removed but bulldozed the settlements. I hate to be the one to say what difference did it make but honestly....

Plus factor in for West Bank weather I believe the settlements are right or wrong they fall under the Oslo II accords. Area C fell under Israel choice and this is what the PLA agreed to. Now did Israel end up reversing a lot of the area they said they would give up due to the Second Intifada.
